
PMARAI Holds Successful Annual General Membership Meeting
The Philippine Military Academy Retirees Association, Inc. (PMARAI) successfully conducted its Annual General Membership Meeting (AGMM) on January 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM, at the Main Dining Hall of the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club. This significant gathering brought together PMARAI members from across the nation to review the association’s key accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and future plans.
The outgoing Board of Directors presented a comprehensive report on the association’s achievements over the past year. Highlights included the continued success of PMARAI’s webinar series, the raffle project, and the Game of the Cavaliers (GOC). These initiatives not only fostered camaraderie but also enhanced the professional development of its members. Special recognition was given to activities that promoted both personal and collective growth among retirees. A key agenda item of the AGMM was the election of the new Board of Directors, who will lead PMARAI for the 2025-2026 term. The newly elected officers are:

The new board expressed heartfelt gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in them by the membership. They committed to preserving PMARAI’s legacy while actively seeking new opportunities to advance the association’s mission. The AGMM concluded with a fellowship session, where members exchanged ideas and discussed plans for the future. This opportunity to strengthen camaraderie underscored the enduring bonds among PMARAI members. The event’s success set an inspiring tone for another productive yearahead.

2023 STRATEGICPLANNING

The newly elected Board of Directors immediately held a Strategic Planning facilitated by Cav Felipe H Buena Jr ‘78 last January 30-31, 2023 to determine the direction of our association and focus its efforts to ensure that everyone is working towards a common goal. This is to help achieve our goals, and allows a more efficient use of time and resources.

2023 WEBINAR 4
As part of PMARAI continuing program for the health and wellness of our members, a WEBINAR was held thru zoom last January 26, 2023, 10:00am to 12:00 noon entitled: “Medical and Health Benefits for veterans at VMMC” in collaboration with Veterans Memorial Medical Center. The Chairman of the Committee on Ethics and Professionalism, Cav Edmund C Tan ‘80 announced that more than 100 members participated and were enlightened of what their benefits are and were given the powerpoint presentation of the resource speakers.



2023 PMAAAI / PMARAI
1st INVITATIONAL GOLF FELLOWSHIP
The PMAAAI and PMARAI conducted a golf and lunch fellowship for retired PMAyers from older classes to PMA Class 1989 to foster camaraderie and fun among its members. A total of 26 classes with 123 players joined the event. It is one of the action plans for AY 2023-2024 of Sports and Fellowship Committee under Cav Marcelino J Llorca ‘83 sponsored by the Chief of Staff, AFP General Andres C Centino ‘88, Chief, Philippine National Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr ‘89, Commandant, Philippine Coast Guard, Admiral Art M Abu ‘92 and Cong. Claude Bautista, honorary ‘83 last April 18, 2023 at Camp Aguinaldo Golf Course, Cp Aguinaldo, Q.C.
